Aubrey E. Posey is an Associate Attorney at Hitchcock Law Group, having joined the group in October, 2017. Aubrey brings years of legal experience in governmental service, having worked for both the First District Court of Appeals and also the Department of Elder Affairs, Long Term Care Ombudsman program. She also has experience with Homeowners association and condominium law. Ms. Posey works with clients to create and administer Guardianship and Guardian Advocacy cases , as well as estate planning and probate.
Ms Posey received her Bachelor Degree in Education fro Florida State University and her Law Degree from Stetson University College of Law and is originally from Bonita Springs, Florida. Ms. Posey is a native Floridian.
Martha V. Evans is an Associate Attorney at Hitchcock Law Group. She assists clients with Estate Planning, Probate, and Guardianship. Ms. Evans is admitted to the Florida Bar and has served clients in the Tampa Bay Area since 2009.
Ms. Evans received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 2004 and earned her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2008. During law school, Ms. Evans had the privilege of interning for a Judge in the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Probate Division in Clearwater. Originally from Miami, Ms. Evans is a native Floridian.
Steven E. Hitchcock is a Florida Bar Board Certified Elder Law attorney, who practices in the areas of Developmental Disabilities law, SSI and Medicaid, Special Needs Trusts, Guardianship and Guardian Advocacy, Long Term Care Planning, Veteran’s Benefits law, Estate Planning and Probate and Trust Administration. Mr. Hitchcock is owner of Hitchcock Law Group.
Mr. Hitchcock received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from Union University in upstate New York. Mr. Hitchcock received his Law Degree, Cum Laude, with a Certificate of Concentration in Elder Law, and his LL.M. in Elder Law, with Distinction, from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida.
He is a member of the Elder Law, the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, Health Law and Administrative Law sections of the Florida Bar. He serves as Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Clearwater Bar Foundation. Mr. Hitchcock is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys (AFELA) and the Academy of Special Needs Planners (ASNP).
Mr. Hitchcock is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and is accredited to practice before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Mr. Hitchcock is active in the local community, providing service to those less fortunate members of the community by assisting local charitable organizations in providing pro-bono clinics and workshops. He has also served as Court Appointed Counsel in Guardianship, also Court Appointed Attorney Ad Litem, and Guardian Ad Litem.
Mr. Hitchcock is also a registered Pharmacist licensed in the State of Florida.
